Maelfa Shop

The Maelfa shop and café is a registered charity administered by the Cardiff East Churches in Partnership, of which Christchurch is a member.

The premises in a local shopping arcade consists of a shop selling nearly new clothing, gifts books and CDs. There is also a café serving tea and coffee. It serves as a drop in centre on neutral ground where volunteer staff, drawn from local churches, can minister to the needs of the community.

What do we provide?

• an opportunity to chat and enjoy a 'cuppa'
• reasonably priced nearly-new goods
• help with form filling & signposting to other care agencies.
• housing and benefit advice via the Speakeasy group on a Monday morning
• the Cardiff Foodbank which is present on a Wednesday and Friday mornings
• a chance to chat with members of the local clergy visit regularly and are available to anyone needing their help.
