Youth Club
The Youth Club was established in September 2010 and is available for children aged 7 – 11 years and we meet on a Friday night from 7:00-8:30. The Youth Club is run by members of the church although is not specifically a ‘church’ group. In Youth Club we offer a range of activities including sport, dance and craft. We usually begin and end with some team games and it’s fair to say that there’s a lot of noise generated when these games are on! There is a tuck shop available where the children can buy sweets, crisps and drinks.
The most popular activities among the children are football, bulldogs (dodgeball), Wii dance games, table tennis and pool. Every week there are also craft activities including cake decorating, making Christmas decorations, painting and colouring and there are separate spaces where the children can just sit and talk or listen and dance to music.
We have also held special events such as Fireworks night, Christmas Parties and a trip to the beach!
The idea behind the youth club is to offer a safe and fun environment for children in our local community to come along to play and socialise with their friends. We try to encourage positive values with the children such as: teamwork; fair play; sharing; caring for others; and sticking to the rules!
The Youth Club is continuously growing we are always looking for new ideas to use within the group.
If you are aged between 7 and 11 or know a child who is, please tell them about the Youth Club and bring them along on a Friday night!
